The year 7 mixed netball team played a friendly against Kingsbridge college today, it was made up of 2 boys and 5 girls, (Ethan, Henry, Annie, Maeve, Suki, Daisy and Amelie). 

 

The game was close throughout and the team got into it straight away with the first quarter ending 1-0 to ToPS. The shooting duo of Ethan and Annie were strong and ended the second half a close 2-2. The third quarter was the teams strongest, helped by a fantastic defending threesome, Henry, Maeve and Amelie, they managed many turnovers and with the accuracy of Daisy's and Suki's passing down to Annie and Ethan they finished 5-4 to ToPS. However, in the last quarter Kingsbridge pulled in their top guns for the final push and managed to get ahead ending the game 10-6 to Kingsbridge.

 

I am so proud of how far each and every player has come since Sept and including the players not present for the match today ToPS are going to be the school to look out for! 

 

POM, (chosen by the other team), went to Maeve for her energy, ability to turn over balls and switch from defence to attack so effortlessly
